Dubai – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) increased by 0.57% or 9.58 points to end Monday's trading session at 1,691.66 points, reversing the downturn performance on Sunday, 5 April.

Turnover amounted to AED 289.87 million after 187.44 million shares were exchanged through 4,910 transactions.

The consumer staples sector topped the gainers with 2.35%, while the banks segment led the decliners with 2.05%.

Aramex topped 19 rising stocks with 8.82%, while Takaful Emarat – Insurance headed nine decliners with 5%.

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), down 4.70%, recorded the highest trading volume of 34.89 million shares exchanged at a value of AED 106.58 million.

Meanwhile, Arabtec Holding advanced by 3.03 after revealing that its subsidiary Target Engineering was awarded two contracts at a total value of AED 210 million.
